It's a question I hear more often than you might think.

Women in their 40s, 50s and 60s often come into my Dallas-area boudoir studio wondering if boudoir photography is still for them. They wonder if their bodies have changed too much. If they're too nervous. If they should have done this years ago.

And then I tell them something that surprises many of them:

The majority of my boudoir clients are between 40 and 60.

And honestly? I love that.

One of the things I love most about being a Dallas boudoir photographer is getting to photograph women in so many different seasons of life.

And while there is a common perception that boudoir is primarily for younger women, my actual experience in the studio tells a very different story.

The surprising majority of my clients are between 40 and 60.

Some come in to celebrate a milestone birthday.

Some are beginning a new chapter after a major life change.

Some have spent years putting everyone else first and finally decided it was time to do something just for themselves.

Some have worked hard on their bodies and want to celebrate what they've accomplished.

There will always be something you want to change.

Our bodies change throughout our lives. That's normal. It's part of being human.

There's a misconception that confidence belongs to younger women.

I don't believe that for a second.

Some of the most confident, magnetic women I've photographed are women in their 40s, 50s and 60s.

And confidence doesn't necessarily mean walking into the studio thinking you're a supermodel.

Sometimes confidence looks like:

"I'm nervous, but I'm doing it anyway."

That's enough.

You don't have to feel completely confident before your session.

They want to remember how they felt at 42.

Or 48.

Because you're not trying to prove anything.

You're simply celebrating yourself.
